Dental implants have fast become a huge part of our practice! Implants are the most aesthetic, conservative and predictable way to restore missing teeth. In most cases, a dental implant is a superior restoration to a bridge or removable partial denture. The implants are placed by a surgeon, either a periodontist or oral surgeon. The bone actually heals around the implant and anchors it into the jaw. The healing time can range from four to six months, after which Dr. Daniel can build a crown on the implant. It then looks like a tooth, acts like a tooth, chews like a tooth, talks like a tooth and for all intents and purposes...is a brand new tooth.
